This hike in Palos Verdes area (near Malaga Dune Trail) is one of our favorite day hikes in the neighborhood.
The hiking trail starts near the old fire road and splits in few different directions. The one we hike offers the view of the beach and its beautiful coastline. We make it about 1.5 hours total round trip or 2hrs if the creek on our way back has water in it for Ava to play. If she does she is one happy, dirty and stinky doggy. I wouldn't recommend it if you do not want your dog to get dirty and you may want to take a trail that doesn't lead to this creek. The parking lot where the trail begins is very close to this neighborhood market,
Malaga Cove Ranch Market , that has a very good coffee and croissants to grab if hiking in the morning or the deli offers very good dishes as well for later times. One of my favorite is eggplant Parmesan, delicious.
